The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal role in the strategic and financial leadership of the organization. They are responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, treasury management, and risk management. The CFO reports directly to the CEO and collaborates with other executives to drive the company’s financial goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy to support long-term growth and profitability.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, senor leadership and the board.
  • Manage the annual budget, financial forecasts and analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements).
  • Oversee all income and other tax items for the company.
  • Manage the external audit process and liaise with auditors and tax professionals.
  • Treasury and Cash Management:
  • Optimize cash flow and liquidity management to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Monitor and manage risk and investments.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through appropriate strategies and effective internal control system; Ensure compliance with all financial, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend capital structure and financing options; Manage capital allocation and investment decisions.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team fostering a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in due diligence and financial analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
  • Lead integration efforts for acquired companies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years’ experience in finance leadership roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce or direct-to-consumer industry.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • CPA required.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, currently to St. Louis, Missouri, but could be other locations if the Company acquires other businesses.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and strategic acumen.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with successful track record of empowerment and staff development.
  • Ability to work in a deadline focused, dynamic environment, and consistently produce deliverables within agreed upon timelines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
