GENERAL SUMMARY:
The CFO is responsible for directing the financial, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing functions of our company. This includes M&A, Taxes, Treasury, Banking & Cash Management, Payroll, the Controller Functions, and overall Budgetary Authority. This activity must be in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Further, the CFO is responsible for managing the budget (both operating & capital).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CEO, and Senior Leadership as needed to provide strategic financial input on decision making issues affecting the organization.
- Overall responsibility for company’s financials including any major investment or decision which will impact P&L or Balance Sheet.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal function and performance.
- Lead the development of the corporation’s operating budgets and capital budgets as a strategic partner.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
- Maintain and enhance credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
- Oversee and direct the Company’s use of multiple credit lines including interest bearing revolver, multiple floorplan lines, extended manufacturer terms, etc.
- Collaborate with President and VP Retail Finance to develop, implement and manage retail finance solutions to help get our customers financed.
- Overall responsibility for cost management. Identify ways to reduce cost to the organization and execute them.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce fiscal policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Provide mentoring, technical financial advice and knowledge to others.
- Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
- Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
- Oversee development of a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the corporation may enter. Interface with both the CEO, COO and GC as well as external legal counsel as needed to accomplish this task.
- Evaluate the Finance structure and team for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth and development.
- Develop and maintain banking relationships.
- Provide support to the parent company for insurance, benefits, real estate, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the Controller, Accounting Manager, and Accounts Payable/Receivable staff.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree and CPA required. MBA, or MS in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience or training.
- Experience in a dealership and/or rental company.
