HR Business Partner
(Contract – Technology Division)
Location: Remote (Lake Worth, FL; Downtown Chicago, IL; Waltham, MA)
Duration: 4-6 Months
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a contract basis to cover a maternity leave. This role will primarily focus on supporting our technology division and will play a critical part in driving HR initiatives that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR within the tech industry, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Partnership:
- Collaborate with technology leaders to understand their business objectives and provide strategic HR support to achieve these goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations on HR matters including talent management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Partner with the recruitment team to attract and retain top talent within the technology division.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration into the company.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes, including performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on employee relations matters.
- HR Programs and Initiatives:
- Lead and participate in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives that support the technology division’s needs.
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable practices.
- Provide guidance on salary reviews, promotions, and incentive programs.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, preferably within the technology industry.
- Proven experience in a strategic HR role with a focus on talent management and employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience supporting remote and geographically dispersed teams.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and a fast-paced tech environment.
