HR Business Partner
(Contract – Technology Division)

Location: Remote (Lake Worth, FL; Downtown Chicago, IL; Waltham, MA)
Duration: 4-6 Months 

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a contract basis to cover a maternity leave. This role will primarily focus on supporting our technology division and will play a critical part in driving HR initiatives that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR within the tech industry, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic HR Partnership:
    • Collaborate with technology leaders to understand their business objectives and provide strategic HR support to achieve these goals.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations on HR matters including talent management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Management:
    • Partner with the recruitment team to attract and retain top talent within the technology division.
    • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless integration into the company.
    • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.
  3. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
    • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on employee relations matters.
  4. HR Programs and Initiatives:
    • Lead and participate in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives that support the technology division’s needs.
    • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable practices.
    • Provide guidance on salary reviews, promotions, and incentive programs.
  6. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making and track the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably within the technology industry.
  • Proven experience in a strategic HR role with a focus on talent management and employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting remote and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and a fast-paced tech environment.
