Position Overview
Our company seeks a full time in-person Software and IT Engineer. Working with the CTO, Operations team and Portfolio Managers, the Engineer will be responsible for scaling our proprietary trade management and associated IT systems. This hire will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the architecture and design of company’s IT infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities
- Scaling and maintaining proprietary portfolio management systems, and underlying database development and analysis
- Ad-hoc requests and projects with Portfolio Management team
- Management of the outsourced IT team to maintain and improve Company’s technology infrastructure, implement cybersecurity measures, and resolve technical problems
- Monitor and maintain software and hardware systems to ensure smooth daily operations
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across various systems and reports
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-10 years of relevant work experience (scope can be adjusted based on experience)
- BA/BS in finance, economics, computer science or related STEM field
- Proficiency in SQL and a C or VB style declarative language
- Enthusiasm for financial markets and asset management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and willingness to learn on the job
