The VP of Technology provides strategic leadership for a team of capable and experienced IT professionals across Infrastructure, Security, Service, and Business Systems. This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive IT strategy for our company, including its two subsidiaries. Together, the company has approximately 25 locations across five states. The role will ensure the company’s technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity framework align with business goals to drive efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage.

Strategic Leadership & IT Governance:
- Develop and execute a long-term IT strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives operational efficiency.
- Establish and oversee IT governance policies, ensuring alignment with company goals, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Set annual and quarterly goals for IT and measure performance against strategic objectives.
- Manage the annual IT budget, optimizing investments in infrastructure, security, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Hire and develop team leadership and team members.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to identify opportunities where IT operations and security can enhance business resilience and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and business partnership across IT and operational teams.
Technology Infrastructure:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable, resilient enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Oversee enterprise network architecture, hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data center operations to ensure scalability, performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and upgrades network hardware disaster recovery (BCDR) readiness, minimizing operational disruptions.
- Integrate IT operations into infrastructure strategy, leveraging ITIL-based service management, AIOps, and predictive monitoring to enhance reliability.
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to improve efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
Enterprise Applications & Digital Transformation:
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, and supply chain systems.
- Drive process automation and analytics initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure the IT team delivers high-quality service and solutions to support both businesses’ unique operational needs.
- Stays at the leading edge of technology developments and platform capabilities.
IT Operations and Support Services (Service, Help Desk):
- Ensure best-in-class IT service delivery through helpdesk operations, endpoint management, and user training.
- Oversee IT support functions, ensuring high-quality technical support and system reliability
- Manage the group responsible for:
- Monitoring and maintaining PC’s, laptops, printers and other hardware to ensure continuous service.
- Implementing a robust Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solution for automation.
- Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of PC’s, software and hardware.
- Providing technical support and training to users on hardware and software.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management:
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity and other technology policies to protect company data, assets, and customer information.
- Lead Security Operations (SecOps), including threat intelligence, proactive monitoring, and forensic analysis
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and oversee regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Oversee regulatory compliance and governance, ensuring adherence to DGPR, CCPA, SOX, PCI-DSS, and other industry-specific regulations.
- Lead incident response and business continuity planning to mitigate cyber threats and operational disruptions.
Business Systems:
- Install, monitors and tests new programs introduced to the company.
- Oversee and maintains company website; assist with subsidiary websites.
- Perform and maintain complete system backups. Check backups to ensure functionality.
- Maintain inventory and tracking of all computer hardware and software. Track user licensing of all software, including Microsoft Exchange, Windows, Office, etc.
Team Leadership & Talent Development:
- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing IT leadership team.
- Promote professional development, succession planning, and knowledge-sharing across IT teams.
- Foster a collaborative environment that bridges IT with business operations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in MIS, computer science, software engineering or related field preferred.
- Strong background in enterprise systems, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation.
- Strong curiosity and an increasing understanding for ways that Artificial Intelligence can positively impact the future of the business

- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – Cybersecurity
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) – IT Security Leadership
- AWS/Azure Solutions Architect – Cloud Infrastructure & Strategy
- ITIL Foundation – IT Service Management
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) – Cloud Security
- PMP (Project Management Professional) – Project leadership
- Certified Technology Manager (CTM) – Technology management
- Minimum of 10-years in an IT leadership role with experience in multi-location operations.
- Experience in distribution, logistics, or heavy equipment industries is a plus
- Role can be based in Jupiter or Tampa, FL but responsible for operations across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Texas.
- Minimum four days per week in office, if not travelling. Prefer five.
- Travel is required to company locations for onsite IT support and leadership engagement. At least once per quarter but likely once per month initially.
