The Warehouse Manager role is responsible for planning and supervising all activities related to inventory control and warehousing as a critical member of the Supply Chain team. This position’s objective is to ensure that all materials are properly received, counted, stored and replenished while maintaining accurate and appropriate levels of stocked products to meet customer demand.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the Warehouse Team by setting schedules, monitoring performance, provide feedback and delegate to Warehouse Team members

Hire, train and manage staff of 5-10 employees

Identify root causes of inventory issues and implement process improvements

Manage effective and efficient planning of daily deliveries

Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system

Review and approve inventory counts to ensure accuracy and effectiveness

Identify and accomplish day to day objectives as set forth by the department lead

Maintain warehousing effectiveness by planning and implementing changes to maximize efficient workflow

Manage movement of inventory through multiple warehouses

Maintain standards of safety and security

Oversee annual inventory audit held at the end of each year
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

5-10 years of inventory or warehousing experience required with at least two years of leadership experience

Forklift certification; Ability to certify others on Forklift strongly preferred;

Expertise in inventory management procedures and best practices

Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

Strong knowledge of inventory and warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Hands on experience with ERP inventory management software and databases, SAP experience is a plus

BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration preferred
